The division whether branded as Macreadys, Niagara or now Acenta is synonymous with quality and service and is famed for the wide range of products available to our customers.
The philosophy of a stockholding business offering quality products was begun in 1923 when Macreadys was founded in London. The company grew post war and the Rugby site was acquired in 1964 and a northern warehouse was built in 1972. Operations are now from four warehouses at Rugby, Bolton, Newport (South Wales) and Southampton and all have sawing facilities offering from “one off cut pieces” to “multies” cut on the latest carbide saws. Regional sales offices (at each warehouse) have a local knowledge of customers in their area. Regular and reliable deliveries are made using the company’s own fleet and overnight trunking ensures nationwide availability of the entire stock range.
With the backing of Acenta Hot Rolling and Cold Finishing divisions Acenta Distribution is well positioned to be a first class supplier to those seeking to source Quality Engineering Steel products in today’s market.
